How do I get a smart meter upgrade?

Do I need to be home for the appointment?

It doesn’t need to be yourself or the account holder, but an adult (18+ years old) does need to be in for the whole duration of the smart meter appointment. Even if your meters are outside, the engineers will need access to the main fuse switch and internal connections.
