What happens to my smart meter when I switch?

If you’re switching to UW with a smart meter, we'll automatically try to connect to it during or around the time your energy service goes live. 

In some cases, we might still need you to provide an opening meter reading if we haven’t managed to connect to your smart meter yet. Until we connect to your smart meter, we may ask you to continue taking readings manually.          

If we have any issues connecting to your smart meter we’ll let you know.
