Why have you estimated my bill?

Our bills – even if you're on a Budget Plan payment method – will show your energy usage for the whole of the previous calendar month. Even if you submit a meter reading mid-month.

For example, if you submit a meter reading on the 15th of the month, it'll appear on your bill, but we'll still need to estimate your usage up to the last day of the month.

Estimates are based on historical usage at your property so they shouldn't be too far off, unless there's been a significant change in usage or we’ve not had an accurate reading for a long time. 

If you think our estimates aren’t correct, don’t worry. You can help us bill you accurately by giving more regular readings so we can build a better picture of your expected usage.

Remember, if you give a meter reading on the 1st of the month, it won't show on your bill until the following month.
