What happens on the day of the switch?

Your services can go live anytime up to midnight on the day, but don't worry – we'll text you when it's complete. If you are switching from another provider there might be a short period when you have no broadband or phone while you’re being connected - but usually it’s no more than an hour.

If you require an engineer visit, your engineer will arrive to discuss where to install sockets and may have to carry out some work inside and around your house. Please make sure there’s someone over 18 to approve the work and if you’re renting, you’ll also need permission from your landlord too.

Any equipment you ordered will be sent to you before your service goes live. But don’t set it up until we’ve texted to tell you we’ve switched your broadband over to UW. If you ordered eeros, they will be delivered first – followed by the UW Wi-Fi Hub.
