Refer a friend and you both save money

We’ll give you up to £50 referral bonus on your bill for every friend you refer who:

  • is a homeowner

  • is a new customer

  • takes two or more services with (Energy, Broadband, Mobile, Home Cover and/or Income Protector Insurance)

And your friend will receive up to £150 depending on how many services they take with us. It's a win-win.

There’s no limit to the number of people you can refer, so there’s no limit to how much you can save.

How do I refer my friend?

There are a few ways you can refer your friend to UW:

  1. You can share your personal referral link with your friend via the UW App. All your friend needs to do is follow the link and submit their details. They can either choose to sign up via a Partner or sign up directly.

  2. You can also share your personal referral link with your friends through My Account. Simply click on "Save £50" and follow the instructions.

Why don’t I see an option to share my personal referral link in the UW app

First, make sure you’re running the latest version of the app. If you are, then it’s possible you may not qualify for the reward for some reason so we’ve chosen not to show it to you. The

This doesn’t mean you can’t refer your friend using the other mechanisms outlined above, just that if you do you may not receive the reward should your friend be a qualifying referral.

I referred my friend but I’ve not received my reward. Why?

Please read the terms and conditions to understand if the friend you referred is a qualifying referral for you to receive a reward. Not all referrals will result in a reward for you as the person that referred them.

I’m pretty sure based on the terms and conditions I should get a reward but I haven’t. What should I do?

It can take time for your friend’s services to go live. In the case of Energy, a few weeks. So please allow a little time.

Also with a bill credit reward, this will appear on the next bill generated after your friend’s services have gone live i.e the second bill after all your friend's services have gone live.

I received the confirmation email saying that I’m getting the reward for referring my friend but it’s not on my bill. What should I do?

Once we have reviewed if your friend is a qualifying referral and you are a qualifying referrer as per our terms and conditions we’ll send you a confirmation email informing you your credit will be on an upcoming bill in the Credits & Debits section.

If the credit isn’t on the next bill don’t worry, it’s probably because that bill was created before the credit was applied to your account and the credit will be on the next bill. If it’s not on that one please
