SignVideo sign language option
We now offer a service via SignVideo that is available free of charge to all of our deaf customers that wish to use sign language to contact our UW customer service teams.
How does SignVideo work?
If you want to use our SignVideo option to contact us via an interpreter, you will need to be on a PC, Mac, Laptop, Smartphone, Tablet. When you are ready you can then click the SignVideo Link button on the 'contact us' page or the button below. This will take you to a page that will in turn connect you with a member of the
team.SignVideo will in turn call UW so they can interpret the information via sign language from, and then back to you by speaking to a member of the UW customer service team.
Is the service secure and confidential?
Yes, absolutely. All SignVideo staff sign an Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) during their induction at SignVideo and confidentially is embedded within their contracts of employment. Interpreters are additionally governed by the respective registered interpreting bodies (NRCPD/SASLI) and will adhere to the strict confidentiality processes of these bodies.
Are the SignVideo interpreters fully qualified?
Yes. SignVideo ensures that all interpreters are fully qualified and registered with the NRCPD or equivalent governing body.
