Can I change my Economy 7 tariff (two rate) to a single rate tariff?

If you have a smart meter

If the Economy 7 tariff isn't benefiting you anymore, we can change it to a single rate tariff without having to go through a meter exchange. To change it, contact us and we’ll get it sorted.

If you have a traditional (non-smart) meter 

In order to switch to a single rate, it’s usually necessary to install a new smart meter. Give us a call on 0333 005 6555 to talk about it. In the meantime, please keep sending us your latest meter readings for both the day and night rates.

How will I know the tariff has changed on my bill

Once you request a tariff change, the new rates will come into effect from the first day of the following month. As we bill a month in arrears, the updated rates will appear on the bill you receive the month after. 

For example, if you request a change on 15 April, you’ll be charged the new rate starting from 1 May. The bill you receive in June will show the new rate alongside your readings for May.
